Patna, Jan 1: Passengers of the Guwahati-Delhi Sampark Kranti express had a miraculous escape when 10 bogies of the train derailed near Mokama station in Patna district on Sunday morning, railway sources said.
The bogies jumped off the track between Barahia and Rampur Dumra stations under Danapur division of the East Central railway, but there was no report of any casualties.
"There are no reports of any deaths, but some passengers might have suffered minor injuries," an ECR spokesman said.
The cause of the mishap is yet to be ascertained, he said.
ECR general manager K C Jena and other officials have rushed to the spot.
