Kuwait, May 23: Billava Sangha Kuwait bid farewell to A K Ravindra, the honourary advisor of the first committee. Having worked in Kuwait for 30 years in Gulf Ready Mix as a senior accountant, he will now return to his family in his hometown of Mangalore.
Ravindra has been instrumental in laying a strong foundation for the Sangha. It was under his guidance that the constitution was drafted and released to its members. He was felicitated by the president Mohandas Poojary, vice-president Chitrek Bangera and advisors Raghu Poojary and Manoj Kumar with a shawl and memento.
Mohandas Poojary, in his speech, mentioned the pleasure he felt working with Ravindra in this short span of time and thanked him for his extraordinary services to the association.
Raghu Poojary and Manoj Kumar fondly remembered their association with Ravindra and wished him luck for his future. Ravindra expressed happiness on his association with the Sangha as the advisor of its first committee and once again stressed that unity would help the association grow.
A K Ravindra, a man of his words and highly disciplined, has set an example with his dedication and commitment to many youngsters. The members of the committee thanked him for his work and wished him all the best for his future.
Govind Babu Belchada hosted the programme with a brilliant choice of words and the general secretary gave a final vote of thanks. The programme concluded with refreshments.
