Mangalore, Apr 21: The JD(S) election office for the Mangalore south constituency was inaugurated opposite to hotel Maya International here on Saturday April 20.
Sadanand Shetty inaugurated the office and also released the JD(S) manifesto along with other leaders.
Speaking after the inauguration, Sadanand Shetty said that he backed out from contesting the election mainly because of health problems. "When M C Nanaiah contacted me, I had recommended the name of S P Changappa as the apt candidate from Mangalore south," said Shetty, asking people to support him. bhat-200413_jdssouth14.JPG
Candidate S P Chengappa said it is true that there were conflicts in the party but now everything has been sorted out and all are working together. "The old party members are still there in the party, people who joined in between created problems and they are no more in the party," he said, adding "I am contesting for the election under the guidance of Sadanand Shetty."
Prior to the inauguration of the office, S P Chengappa visited Kudroli Temple along with other leaders and sought blessings.
M B Sadashiv, district president, Vasanth Poojary, Mohammed Kunhi, Gopal Krishna Attavar, Aziz Kudroli, Ratnakar Suvarna, Sushil Noronha among others were present.
