Mangalore, Feb 6: An official of the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) said that on Tuesday February 5 a motor winding shop was raided and sealed for operating illegally.
The official told Daijiworld that the raid was conducted as per the order received from the civil court and under the direction of MCC commissioner Harish Kumar. Accordingly, the MCC officials sealed the shop owned by Jagadish Poojary at Tavarekola near Hosabettu, on the outskirts of Mangalore.
According to the official, MCC had cancelled the trade license of the motor winding shop in 2010 due to complaints received from the neighbours. However, it continued operating even after the order was issued and the owner filed a stay notice in court.
Furthermore, second additional civil judge, Mangalore, vacated the stay in October 2012 and ordered him to shift the same trade to the industrial area.
As the owner did not co-operate even after the warning, the MCC directed that the shop be sealed added the official.
Barath Kumar, senior health inspector, Madhu S M, environment engineer, Yashwanth, health inspector, and Poovappa were part of the raid.
