Mangalore, Dec 26: ICYM Fajir organized ‘Christmas Dabazo – 2012‘at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fajir grounds.

The programme started with a prayer dance performed by the children of Fajir School, followed by a short stage programme.

Fr Naveen Pinto, assistant director of pastoral centre, Mangalore was the chief guest of the ceremony.

Fr Stany Pereira, parish priest,  Fr Albert Lewis, Fr Dolphy D’Souza,  Sr Annie, headmistress of Fajir School, Victor Monteiro, vice-president of parish council, Felix Monteiro, secretary of parish council, Preetam Noronha, president of ICYM Fajir, Philomena D’Souza, secretary of Fajir ICYM were present on the stage.

“Let the birth fest of Jesus Christ spread happiness to all”, said Fr Stany in his key note address.

Cake auction was done in aid of new Church building fund and Wilson Lobo won in the open bid.
 
Prizes were given to the winners of various competitions.
 
Parents of Roshan Saldanha Konaje – Dubai, the main sponsor of the event were felicitated.

Students of Fajir School and members of YCS and ICYM performed a colourful cultural show. Rib-tickling skit ‘Budkulo’ written and directed by Nitesh D’Souza won the hearts of the people.

Preetham Noronha welcomed, Philomena D’Souza delivered the vote of the thanks.

Ullas D’Souza and Cynthia Correa compered the event.
