"Hence, we under the banner of ABVP place various demands like rehabilitation center for victims in every taluk, care center for every five village, BPL ration cards for victims with more than 75% of disability, education to victims, stop on spraying of chemicals on food crops and various others," he said.
Speaking on the deadly fertilizer Endosulfan, he said it has had an advarse impact on 92 villages leaving people with physical disability, mental ilness, cancer, skin diseases and so on. "Despite all this, the officials seem to be least concerned as no appropriate steps have been taken in the matter," he said.
He also asked the government to pay relief to the victims similar to that given by the Kerala government. "The Endosulfan survey which was conducted recently was not done properly," he alleged.
"If our demands are not met by January 15, we will protest in front of Vidhana Soudha in Bangalore on January 26," he added.
