Mangalore, Oct 27:
Former MLA Vijaykumar Shetty on Saturday October 27 condemned district incharge minster C T Ravi for the latter's statement terming Congress national president Sonia Gandhi as a 'CAG auditor'.

Addressing here at a press meet held at the district Congress office, Vijaykumar Shetty said C T Ravi has no moral right to comment on Sonia Gandhi.

"The central government has sanctioned Rs 80,000 crore for the state government. Congress has never showed any discrimination against the state," he said.

Launching a tirade against C T Ravi he said, "When it comes to looting the state, C T Ravi is an ardent follower of mining baron Janardhana Reddy. He is not C T Ravi but Koti (crore) Ravi. He has encroached 150 acre of forest land in Marle in Chikmagalur.

"While contesting for the elections in 2004 he declared his total assets as Rs 10 lac only, but in 2011 it rose upto Rs  2 crore. From where did he make all that money?", he questioned.

"In 2007, C T Ravi obtained two sites in the name of his wife to set up the Anjanaya Education Trust. In 2006 he illegally acquired 30,000 sq ft from Chickmagalur Housing Society to add to the Trust. When the locals brought this to the notice of the Lokayukta, Ravi obtained an anticipatory bail from the high court," he said.

"The trust is owned by his relatives. Ravi has his brother-in-law for these activities. The Congress party will condemn any visit by C T Ravi to the district. It will be a warning for him not to misguide the people of Dakshin Kannada," he said.

KPCC member P V Mohan, Praveen Alva, Suresh, former Mayor Ashraf, Sudhir, Nazir Bajal, Althaf, Hussain Katipalla were present.

I am very very sorry to mention that everyone had roof high expectations from BJP. But ultimately BJP ended up with corruption and mismanagement as well no developments taken place. We have to wait and see if any other genuine Party can solve our problems and ensure clean governace and bring rapid developments.

There is total bankrupcy of leadership in Congress.Everyone in the congress latches on to the Gandhi family one way or the other. It's a very sorry state of affairs in Congress which is the oldest political party in India . Wake up congressmen , have introspection and elect other capable leaders from within instead of all the time depending on Gandhi family for leadership. Shame on Congressmen.

Am very surprised, if the Congress govt. indeed had sanctioned Rs.80,000 crores to lootmaar Karnataka, why was it quite for so long allowing people like C.T. Ravi to rob the monies in the first place??

Why was Siddharamiah sleeping in the Vidhan Soudha for so long?? Couldn't he question the govt. and stop the misuse of funds until now??

Why was Siddharamiah sleeping when Yeddy , Reddy and Chaddis were looting the state during broad day light, and then voicing his concern when ordinary citizens exposed their evild deeds which was his supreme duty as opposition leader??

These things shows Congress as opposition party has a hand in all the corruption cases during BJP rule and even before BJP came to power in Karnataka.

Also, Sonia Gandhi must release the dates and amounts sanctioned to Karnataka to prove that she is right.

As I have voiced thru DW earlier, surely C.T. Ravi and other uncivilised people are not welcome to Coastal region, and we must reject them from throwing their weight around our beloved region, cause we have all the necessary resources and talent to manage our beloved region.

We must take help of T.J. Abraham and Mr. Hiremath to expose both Congress and BJP in Coastal as well as the entire Karnataka State before election takes place.

This is politics. Dear Shetty if you are really concerned about the public money, why don't you provide witness against Ravi, file case in the court. Then only your statement having value.

Till last week every tom and harry of BJP were criticizing the central congress government for not releasing the funds and the step mother attitude towards the development works. Actually not a single citizen(s) of Karnataka were not aware that, how much funds they have received the central government. Now the figures are out, the figures are all time high and now they are blaming the congress government that they have not given from the pocket. It’s everybody’s right to know how they have utilized the 80,000 crores. How many crores are swindled off by yeddy, reddy, gadkari, sushma etc etc (never ending list) and how many crores have reached to the common man’s welfare schemes. BJP Should stop criticizing the central government and should issue the audit statement to common citizens of Karnataka.

It was Sonia Gandhi who claimed that Rs 80,000 Crores have been granted to state. It is her duty to release reports for the same.

The state Karnataka is in India. And whatever center has given, it is not for Pakistan. It is utilized in India only.

After all, Karnataka is one of the highest tax paying states in India and No 1 tax paying state in South. Karnataka paid Rs 67,000 Rs crores as tax in 2010. Definitely this has increased in last 2 years.

If central Govt can not grant the amount to state, Karnataka can become separate country, the whole tax amount can be utilized here only.

Sonia Gandhi should not utter a sentence on this. After all it is our money. It is not from her pocket.

I know C T Ravi is an extortionist in Chickmagalur and belongs to the Bajrang Dal. I am surprised that such politicians / characters are made District -in-charge Ministers.
