Dammam, Oct 22: India Fraternity Forum lent a hand to Zareena, who was duped by her sponsors to return back home.
Zareena was approached by an agent with a promise for a visa of a beautician. She agreed to the offer and was flown to Saudi Arabia.
But her dreams shattered when she came to know that she was cheated and actually her profession in the visa turned out to be one of a housemaid. With no form of solace and absolutely helpless she began working as a housemaid with menial duties such as cleaning, washing etc.
Zareena faced constant harassment physically and mentally from her sponsor. She also became sick due to heavy work load.
One morning while at a shopping mall along with her sponsor , she finally managed to escape and contacted a coffee shop in Qateef area.
They helped her to contact the police who admitted her to a hospital. One of the nurses informed her brother in Tabuq, who contacted the IFF people for help.
India Fraternity Forum contacted the Embassy of India in Riyadh, who talked to the sponsor and solved the issue and helped Zareena to return home.
There are a number of cases that are related to human rights of Indian nationals here in the Kingdom. IFF has been constantly working on the front.
