Kasargod, Aug 22: The CPIM protested in front of the Thiruvanathapuram Minister residence and all DC offices, against the 'Anti-people' laws followed by the central and the state government.
The protest held in front of the Kasargod DC office was inaugurated by MP, P Karunakaran. MLA K Kunhiraman presided over. Central Committee member, P K Sreemathi Teacher, MLA K Kunhiraman Trikkaripura, M V Koman Nambiar, M V Balan, M Rajgopal, C H Kunhimbu,P Janardhan, K R Jayanand and others were present.
As the volunteers and protestors were gathered on the spot from early morning 6 am itself, it was very difficult for the employees to reach the office. Office work was being held up.
Food Security Scheme has to be guaranteed, price hike has to be reduced, these were few of the demands put forth by the protestors.
The protest at the Thiruvanathapuram Minister‘s house was inaugurated by CPIM State Secretary, Pinarayi Vijayan. In Kannur by Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, in Alapu by M A Baby, in Kollam by opposition leader P S Acchuthanandan, and in Ernakulam by Govindhan.
On August 21, the offices were crowded with opposition groups, as they protested against the shared pension plan. Simultaneously, on the second day, again the government work has been affected.
