Mangalore, Jun 2: The MBA students belonging to the marketing specialisation of St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor organised a marketing exhibition on May 29 and 30 in the Academic Block II, MBA conference hall under the guidance and supervision of Peter Brian Benjamin, assistant professor, department of business administration, St Joseph Engineering college, Vamanjoor.
The objective of the exhibition was to create awareness and educate the SJEC Family. The exhibition included ads of all kinds from the 70’s till date. The various marketing terms were explained and also video ads and jingles were played. The old extinct ads were projected and indeed it brought back memories of the 70’s and 80’s black and white television.
The subliminal ads, surrogate advertisements, creative ads, fake products, look- a like’s and the bleed page advertisements, green ads, full page ads, the feminine and the masculine brands, the international ads, vintage ads all in all was a vision so colourful and bright that the true spirit of creativity was unleashed by the students.
The marketing students are known as the ‘Ninovators’ (nine innovators) of the college. A vibrant and creative group of nine - Lin, Leeza, Divya, Preetham, Lloyd, Lanston, Raheel, Darren, Parashuram, and Mervin along with their professor Peter Brian Benjamin had plans for this exhibition over the past year.
