Mangalore: Samanvaya Holds Training Programme for Students

Samanvaya organized one day training programme for Konkani Cultural Organisation (KCO) Abu Dhabi's scholarship students on “A to Z Tablets for Success in Life”  at the Pastoral Institute Hall, Bajjodi, on Sunday May 27.
 
The programme began with prayer song after which Dr Ronald Cutinha, director of Samanvaya, addressed the gathering about his intention for the training programme and also gave a brief history of Samanvaya and KCO and their role in service to the society.

Chief guest, Winston D’Souza, first president of KCO-Abhu Dhabi  inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp. 

He addressed the students on the origin of KCO and its growth over the years. With all humility he stated that from its inception in the year 1995, an amount of `47 lac has been distributed so far by KCO as scholarship to poor students. When the beneficiary students study hard and achieve excellent results, KCO is encouraged to help more number of students. He reminded the students that they are the future of Catholic society and future of India and bearing this fact in mind, they should prove their worth by growing with good moral values. D’Souza also gave two examples of true ‘rags to riches’ story in order to inspire the students and wished them all a bright and successful future.

Dr Ronald Cutinha, the versatile resource person introduced ‘A to Z Tablets for Success in Life’through a powerpoint presentation. The programme consists of 26 tablets for success in life prepared by him. He tipped that if they are born poor it is not their mistake but if they die poor surely it is their mistake. He also reminded the students that family and friends are the treasures of life who help in living life to the fullest.  In conclusion, Dr Cutinha wished students all well in their life and assured them that success is certain if they live life by the A to Z tablets given by him.

Students came to the dais and gave feedback on the training received. They thanked KCO, Samanvaya and Dr Cutinha not only for monetary help as well as career guidance, counseling and assured to remain grateful.

Sr Celine D’Sa, UFS welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks. 130 participants including few parents took part in the training which they found very inspiring and motivating.
