Bantwal, May 25: Prabhakar Prabhu, president of Sangabettu grama panchayat, a congress candidate submitted his nomination papers and will be contesting from independent party here in Bantwal on Thursday May 24.

Prabhakar, grama panchayat member from past 15 years has been striving very hard for the betterment of the people by providing them all the facilities from the government. He has served the community as Bantwal taluk gram panchayat president, vice-president, rajya samithi member and is currently working as a director in C A Bank, Siddakatte.
At the age of 21, he had knowledge of political affairs and was attracted towards congress principles that made him join the party. He is equally responsible for the activities conducted by congress party. Prabhu believes that everyone has right to participate in election and this made him contest for election from independent party.
Elected members of Vidhana Parishad failed to fulfill the needs of graduates and teaching staff without increasing the salary of teachers and by not providing scholarships to graduates. Looking into above criteria, giving more importance to graduates, Prabhu is contesting for election which has made congress, B J P, Janatadal to panic.
Prabhu said that he expects the conscious voters to support him in the vidhana parishat election which is to be held on June 10.
