Mangalore: CPI State Secretary P V Lokesh Lambastes State, Union Governments

P V Lokesh, state secretary, CPI said that the coalition governments has come into power since 1980 in the centre but has not performed according to the expectation of people.

He was addressing reporters at press club here on Monday May 21.

The present UPA government which has completed 3 years in office has caused major setback in economy of the nation. In spite of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh being an economist, economic downfall has been witnessed and admitted by his own cabinet colleagues. With this the reputation of India has come down in international level. The strength of military was also questioned for the first time, he said.

In remaining two years of UPA government, the nation will see even more distress in its economic sector, he added.
 
About BJP’s administration in the state, he said that CM Sadananda Gowda is handling 20 ministerial births which have halted the development activities in the state. He held Yeddyurappa responsible for the current situation of the BJP and said due to internal clash, cabinet expansion is held back. Referring to KAS officer Mahanthesh’s death, he said sincere officers do not have any hope in the state.
 
He called upon the voters to cast their votes carefully during upcoming MLC election keeping in view a corruption free leader.
