Bhatkal, May 20: Eight teams qualified for the quarter finals of the ‘Royal Cup-2012’. They are Royal (8 points), Kattaveera (8 points), Beena Vidya (8 points), SYWA (8 points), Lion (6 points), Coastal King (6 points), Sunshine (6 points), and Shaheen Murdeshwar (6 points). The quarter final matches will see Lion vs Coastal King, Beena Vidya vs Kattaveera, Royal vs SYWA, and Sunshine vs Shaheen Murdeshwar.
The first semi final will be played on Tuesday May 22 in the morning and the second semi final will be in the afternoon on the same day. The final match will take place on Wednesday May 23.
Most of the big teams such as Labbaik Nawayath, Anfa , Cosmos, Asadullah, Moonstar, YMSA, and Al Wafa Murdeshwar, are out of the Royal Cup. The highest individual scorer till the quarterfinals has been Nasrullah Askeri of Moonstar at 147, and the biggest wicket-taker has been Talha (Royal).
