Kalam Appears not Averse to be in Race for Another Term

New Delhi, Apr 28 (PTI):Former President A P J Abdul Kalam on Saturday appeared not averse to be in the race for another term in the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

"Let us wait for some time...After some time, you ask me," Kalam told reporters here when asked whether he was ready to be elected to a second term as President.

His remarks came at a time when political leaders are holding meetings to reach a consensus on the new President.

Kalam had served as the President between 2002 and 2007.

In the 2007 Presidential elections, Kalam's name was proposed by smaller parties to enter the race but he backed out at the last minute in the absence of a consensus.
