Woman Found Killed in her Delhi House, Husband Suspect

New Delhi, Apr 28 (IANS): A 35-year-old woman, a mother of four, was found murdered inside her house in the national capital, police said Saturday and added her husband is the prime suspect.

Jubeda Khatoon, who hailed from Oriya village in Bihar, was found in a pool of blood inside her residence in east Delhi's Jagatpuri by a neighbour around 9.30 a.m. Saturday.

The neighbour raised an alarm and police were informed.

Khatoon, the mother of four children, was rushed to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital where she was pronounced dead due to severe head injury and excess bleeding.

"It seems that the victim was hit with any blunt object on her head. As blood was not oozing out of her head when police reached at the spot, one thing is clear that she was killed on late Friday night," said a senior police official.

Her husband Abdul Kalam, who belongs to Bhim Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, was found missing from the house.

A case of murder has been registered and hunt is now on for Kalam, who is the prime suspect behind the murder, said the official.
