Mangalore: Two MRPL Workers Die in Freak Accident

Mangalore, Mar 19: Two workers of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) lost their lives in a tragic incident that occured on Monday March 19.
The deceased have been identified as Janashekhar Annan (28) and Mari Muttu (21), both from Tamil Nadu.
Janashekar was the driver and Nari the cleaner of a company truck that is used to ply coal tar.
On Monday, the two drove in the loaded truck and at a check point, Janashekar reportedly opened the coal tar tanker for inspection. The coal tar inside was at a high temperature, and Janashekhar lost his balance while opening the lid and fell inside, it is said.
In an instant, Mari rushed to rescue Janashekhar, but he too fell in.
Though they were picked out from the tanker, they could not be saved.
Suratkal police have registered a case in this regard.
