Bangalore: BJP MLA Faces Case for Abusing Judge

Bangalore, Mar 6: A first information report (FIR) was filed against Tumkur rural MLA, B Suresh Gowda belonging to BJP on Monday March 5 in Nelamangala town police station. He has been accused of using abusive language against the city district and sessions judge, A C Vidyadhar, and his brother, A C Dharanendraiah.

The judge and his family were reportedly returning to the city after paying visit to a temple in Nittoor, Tumkur, in a car. At the Navayuga Toll Gate located within the limits of Nelamangala police station, an Innova car which came at high speed stopped by the side of Vidyadhar’s car. The driver of the Innova car was unnecessarily honking even while the vehicle was not moving, creating nuisance to the family members of the judge.

When the judge questioned the occupants of Innova car about incessant honking, Suresh Gowda and his companions in the car derided and abused the judge by using filthy language, the complaint said. The judge said that the people in the other car also tried to assault him, even after he identified himself to be a judge.
