AAP Goa president hints at deal behind Revolutionary Goans agitation withdrawal

Daijiworld Media Network – Panaji

Panaji, May 1: In an apparent reference to the recent agitation by the Revolutionary Goans Party, AAP Goa President Amit Palekar has sparked controversy with a cryptic tweet hinting at a behind-the-scenes deal involving a ‘luscious meeting’ with a ‘broker’ and a ‘daddy’ in Candolim.

Although Palekar did not directly name anyone, his tweet implied a connection between the sudden withdrawal of the agitation and a secretive meeting. He wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) handle:

"Is the reason behind the sudden withdrawal of the agitation a luscious meeting along with the broker and daddy at Candolim?"

Palekar went on to suggest that the withdrawal of the protest would lead to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) being approved smoothly and the project progressing quietly. He added, “Now EIA will be granted smoothly, and the project will subtly come up."

In a bold challenge, Palekar further stated: "If the meeting didn’t happen and what I’m saying is false, I challenge the duo to come to Bambolim Cross and say it! Pishyan Kaadap parat zala suru."

This tweet has raised eyebrows, with many speculating about the implications of the sudden end to the Revolutionary Goans' agitation and the political undertones suggested by Palekar’s cryptic message. However, the identities of the individuals referenced in the tweet remain unclear, and further clarification from Palekar or the Revolutionary Goans Party is awaited.
