Mangaluru, Apr 25: Renowned Dubai-based entrepreneur Harish Sherigar, through his company ACME Building Materials Trading LLC, has donated a generous sum of Rs 10 lac towards the development of Mangala English Medium School in Mangaluru. The amount includes funds collected during the ‘Sandalwood to Bollywood’ musical, dance, and comedy extravaganza held in Dubai on April 12, along with Sherigar’s personal contribution.
Harish Sherigar, managing director of ACME Building Materials Trading LLC, stated that, as in previous years, the proceeds from the event are being channelled towards a social cause. "The Mangala English Medium School is driven by a vision to empower children from poor and middle-class families by providing them access to English-medium education. The institution is run selflessly, without profit motives, and is focused on uplifting socially and economically backward communities," he said.

Sherigar further emphasized that organised efforts will continue to be made to support the growth of this noble educational institution. He extended his heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors and well-wishers who supported the 'Sandalwood to Bollywood' event in Dubai.
Mangala English Medium School, which operates under the aegis of the Karnataka State Devadiga Sangha, Mannagudda, is known for offering quality education at minimal fees without burdening parents with donations or other financial demands. The school provides a donation-free, affordable fee structure that benefits children from all communities, especially those from economically weaker sections.
The school administration has expressed sincere gratitude to Harish Sherigar for his personal commitment and generous donation, which they said reflects his dedication to uplifting the community through education.
