Bengaluru, Apr 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised Bengaluru South BJP MP Tejasvi Surya’s initiative aimed at nurturing young minds through a blend of fun and learning during the summer holidays.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi took to social media platform X to commend Surya's efforts, stating, “Wishing all my young friends a wonderful experience and a happy holiday. As I said in last Sunday’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the summer holidays provide a great opportunity to enjoy, learn and grow. Such efforts are great in this endeavour.”

Tejasvi Surya, who is also the BJP National Yuva Morcha President, had recently announced the launch of a week-long summer camp across 10 centres in his Bengaluru South constituency. The camp, designed for children aged 8 to 14, offers sessions in yoga, meditation, Gita recitation, dance fitness, self-defense, and drawing. Approximately 2,500 children are participating, acquiring new skills and experiences during their holidays.
Surya expressed his gratitude for the Prime Minister’s support and shared glimpses of his interaction with the children at the summer camp on his X account. “We've kick-started a week-long Bengaluru South Summer Camp for children aged between 8-14 years. This is in line with PM Narendra Modi Ji’s Mann Ki Baat message, where he nudged children to mix fun and learning this summer,” he said.
During the 120th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi emphasized the productive use of summer vacations, encouraging children to explore hobbies, engage in community service, and document their experiences using hashtags like #MyHoliday and #HolidayMemories.
He also spoke about the ‘Mera Bharat’ calendar initiative, which encourages young learners to explore various activities such as visiting Jan Aushadhi Kendras, experiencing life in border villages, and participating in padyatras on Ambedkar Jayanti to promote constitutional values.
Modi’s words of encouragement have added momentum to Surya’s summer camp initiative, which aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of making vacations a period of growth, learning, and community engagement.
