Mumbai, Feb 25: The Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, has conferred the prestigious National Dhanwantari Ayurveda Awards 2025 on three eminent Ayurveda practitioners for their exceptional contributions to traditional Indian medicine. The ceremony, held in Mumbai, saw Union Minister of State (IC) for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, presenting the awards, emphasizing Ayurveda’s growing significance in modern healthcare.

The awardees for 2025 include Vaidya Tara Chand Sharma, an acclaimed Nadi Vaidya and author, Vaidya Maya Ram Uniyal, a veteran scholar in Dravyaguna Vigyana, and Vaidya Sameer Govind Jamadagni, founder of the Vishwa Vyakhyanmala national conference. Each recipient has played a pivotal role in advancing Ayurvedic knowledge and practice.

Each honoree received a citation, a trophy featuring Lord Dhanwantari, and a cash prize of Rs 5 Lac. The awards not only recognize individual achievements but also reinforce India's commitment to integrating Ayurveda into global healthcare.

Congratulating the winners, Prataprao Jadhav highlighted Ayurveda’s global impact, while Ayush secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha lauded the awardees for modernizing Ayurveda while preserving its authenticity.
