Bhatkal, Jan 12: Taluk tahsildar and other officials held a farewell party for the outgoing DC Krishnaiyah, who was transferred to Bangalore Rural at the RNS Sea View at Murudeshwar on Wednesday January 11.
Bhatkal tahsildar Madukeshwar welcomed the DC and appreciated the memorable achievements during his tenure in Uttara Kannada.
DySP M Narayan addressed congratulated DC Krishnaiyah on behalf of police department, praised the efforts of DC for the development of the region. He urged support from DC Krishnaiyah in future too.
AC Ashoke Naik expressed his grief over the transfer of Krishanaiyah and wished him best for a successful future.
TMC president Inayatullah Shahbandary in his address said that with the support from BN Krishnaiah taluk has got a big town hall. He also said that Krishnaiyah is the only DC to work hard in service of the people of Uttara Kannada unlike other DCs, who preferred to stay in the office and enjoy privileges.
He further said that Krishnaiyah has visited all villages and served the poor in the region. Since last one year Uttar Kannada has the most service oriented people in the Government offices including DC, SP, AC, Tahsildar, and CPI.
DC Krishnaiyah expressing his gratitude for the function said that in it is the second time he is serving people of Uttar Kannada he was assistant district commissioner during 1986 – 89.
Krishnaiyah also appreciated the support and friendship forwarded by Inayatullah Shahbandary from last 30 years. He also urged that development should be taken forward after his tenure and offered any help if needed in the process.
CPI Shivprakash and Chief Officers were also present on dais.
There was a beach cleaning program after the formal event.
Tahsilar Madukeshwar proposed vote of thanks and D G Hegde compered.
