Revenue officials' mass leave in Gurugram continues for Day 2, property registration hampered

Gurugram, Feb 4 (IANS): The Naib Tehsildars and Tehsildars in Gurugram continued to be on mass leave for the second day on Tuesday to protest against allegations of corruption in the Revenue Department and registration of a case against a woman Tehsildar of Faridabad, alleging that she was implicated.

"Whatever allegations are being made regarding corruption, they should be investigated impartially. It is not right to blame all the employees without any basis," Patwaris said.

On average, more than 60 per cent of registrations are done in the nine tehsils of Gurugram on normal days, from which the government gets huge revenue.
