Udupi: Cervical cancer screening camp to be held at Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences

Udupi, Feb 3: In observance of World Cancer Day, the department of Prasuti Tantra and Streeroga at Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Manipal, is organizing a free cervical cancer screening camp. The camp will be held from February 4 to 8 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the institute's premises.

The screening camp aims to raise awareness about cervical cancer and provide early detection opportunities to women who may be experiencing symptoms associated with the condition. Women experiencing excessive vaginal discharge with foul odour, yellowish or greenish discharge, post-coital bleeding, or any other concerning symptoms such as vaginal bleeding post-menopause, bleeding between periods, persistent backache, or recurrent cervical or vaginal infections are encouraged to take advantage of this initiative.

Apart from the free consultation and screening services, the camp will also offer expert counselling, detailed diet recommendations, and yoga consultations aimed at promoting overall wellness.
