Srinivas University organises cooking without fire event ‘Spicy Strategists’

Mangaluru, Jan 30: Srinivas University, Institute of Port shipping and logistics management successfully organised an event “Spicy Strategists” – jointly organised by the cultural and management forum, where students had to prepare food items without using fire and had to market and sell the same to the customers for a price mentioned by the judges who tasted the items and gave a review on the same. The event highlighted the efforts and creativity of the students to prepare the food items and their marketing skills in selling the prepared items to the people.

A total of 11 zealous teams participated in the competition, showcasing a diverse range of ideas and strategies to prepare the items and sell it to the customers. Each team displayed creativity making the competition highly engaging and inspiring.

The event was graced by esteemed judges, Prof Shilpa K and Prof Usha, who precisely evaluated the prepared items based on criteria such as presentation and aesthetic, taste and flavour, hygiene and cleanliness, use of ingredients, creativity and innovation.

The competition brought in oneness among students and upheld the important objective of team work and team spirit.

The college management has extended its gratitude to Dr Sonia Delrose Noronha, dean, Institute of Port, Shipping and Logistics Management and to Prof Nelson Pereira, HoD - BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Prof Sagar Srinivas, HoD - BBA Port Shipping and Logistics Management and Prof Souparnika HoD - BBA E-commerce and retail management and to the faculty members for their support.
