Mumbai: Billawar Association’s ‘Koti–Chennaya Athletic Meet’ on Jan 8

Mumbai, Jan 7: The metro-based Billawar Association will be organizing the ‘Koti – Chennaya Athletic Meet’ at University Sports Ground, New Marine Lines, on Sunday January 8.

Bharat Co-operative Bank chairman V R Kotian will inaugurate the meet at 7.30 am on Sunday.

Billawar Association president Jaya C Suvarna will preside over the programme.

The state’s former minister Raj K Purohit, Karnataka MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, Karnataka former MLA Sunil Kumar, Hotel Krishna Palace managing director Krishna Y Shetty, and Mumbai Cricket Association vice-president Professor Ratnakar Shetty will be the guests of honour.

The concluding ceremony will be held at 3.30 pm on Sunday. Ahmedabad industrialist Mohan C Poojary will be the chief guest.

M M Mithaiwala proprietor Manmohan C Gupta, Commonwealth Power Lifting Federation gold medalists Akshata Poojary and Supritha Poojary will be the guests of honour.
