Mangaluru: Theft at Mudipu church; incident captured on CCTV

Mangaluru, Jan 26: A thief broke into St Joseph Vaz Church in Mudipu and vandalized the offertory box.

Items used for distributing the Eucharist and the money offered by devotees were reportedly stolen. The theft was captured on CCTV cameras.

The incident occurred on the night of January 24, when the thief forced open the church door. The suspect, with a cloth tied around his head and a mask covering his face, was seen in the footage.

Upon discovering the theft, church officials alerted the police. Officers visited the site and conducted an inspection. A case has been registered at the Konaje police station.
