Mumbai, Jan 11: Aaman Devgan is set to make his Bollywood debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s much-anticipated action-adventure drama Azaad. The young actor has undergone rigorous training to embody the role of a village boy, with a significant part of his preparation focusing on developing a unique bond with a horse named Azaad, a key character in the film.
To authentically portray his connection with the horse, Aaman immersed himself in an extraordinary process. From sharing meals with Azaad and sleeping in his stable to cleaning up after him, the actor dedicated himself fully to building trust and understanding the animal’s behavior. This commitment extended even beyond the completion of the film’s shoot, as Aaman continues to spend time with the horse, strengthening their bond.
Reflecting on his preparation, Aaman shared, “I’ve always been fond of horses, and when I heard the script, I knew I had to do this film. It wasn’t just about learning to ride; I wanted to ensure my bond with Azaad was authentic. I spent over 10 days living with him, observing his routine, and understanding his moods. Cleaning his stable and caring for him personally helped build the trust needed for our scenes to feel real. This experience has been deeply enriching and made performing my scenes much more natural.”
The film Azaad explores the powerful relationship between Aaman’s character and his horse, who becomes his most loyal companion. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor, the action-packed entertainer features a star-studded cast, including Ajay Devgn, Diana Penty, and debutante Rashe Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon.
Scheduled for release on January 17, 2025, Azaad promises a blend of high-octane drama and heartfelt moments, with Aaman Devgan’s dedication to his role setting the stage for an impressive debut.
