Udupi, Dec 24: Lords International residential School, promoted by Kediyoor Educational Trust, Udupi celebrated its first annual day, at the school premises on Monday December 23.
Abhilasha S, principal SMS English Medium School Brahmavar, said, “Today, we are here to celebrate the vibrant spirit of new learning, talents, and achievements. After listening to the school's first annual report, it is very much evident that the school has made a great beginning. I wish the school to prosper and serve the community. It is a collective responsibility to provide children with unconditional love, support and guidance. Childhood is a precious and formative stage, it is our duty to ensure that they celebrate their childhood. Children should be provided with an anxiety free environment. NEP has rightly redefined pre-primary education as childhood care and education. Children have so many stories to share and we have to spend quality time with them, we should not be judgmental. Each child has different potential. Character building is also our responsibility, teachers and parents have to build characters. Handling failures, teaching children to handle failures and accept failures. We tend to lose, whenever we lose we want to play again and again, we don't use this life, when we fail we take extreme steps. Let us make children view failure as opportunity. Wisdom is possible only when knowledge is combined with character.”
Dr Bhavyashree B Kediyoor, treasurer, in her presidential note said, “Today is a day filled with bountiful blessings of god, a day to celebrate whole heartedly to achieve success. I would like to congratulate all who strived to make this day a success, a day of achievement and dreams fulfilled. Many said that Myrtle L F Lewis will make this institution one of the best in the country. The full team of Lords International Residential School is a family. Let us all take a temple of knowledge towards height where it will be a beacon of knowledge. Dreams only come true, if we truly dream for it, work for it and at the end we achieve it.”
