Mangaluru: Apartments, commercial complexes, malls instructed to process wet waste on-site

Mangaluru, Dec 15: The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has instructed apartments with more than 30 flats, commercial complexes with an area of over 5,000 square feet, traders, industrialists, malls, and commercial establishments generating more than 100 kilos of solid waste per day to segregate waste into wet, dry, and dangerous categories.

Additionally, they are required to process the wet waste within their premises and convert it into manure before January 15, 2025.

Failure to comply with these instructions will result in a fine of Rs 15,000, the MCC has warned.
