Mangaluru, Dec 12: The vibrant Kudla Carnival 2024, organized by the catholic sabha, Bajal unit, promises a day of fun, entertainment, and unity, all while supporting a social cause. The event, set to take place on December 15 at St Agnes Special School Grounds, Bendore, invites everyone to be part of this grand celebration with free entry for all. From cultural showcases to thrilling competitions, the carnival guarantees something for everyone.

What makes this carnival even more special is its dedication to uplifting the underprivileged. Proceeds from the event will support charitable initiatives, emphasizing the community spirit behind the celebration.

Sandalwood film actors will grace the occasion, adding glitz and glamour to the event. Mogachi Lahran fame Vincent Fernandes will captivate the audience with his performance of the much-loved "Lily" song. The teaser of a new Konkani movie will be unveiled, giving audiences a sneak peek into an exciting upcoming release. The team of the new Tulu movie "Daskath" will also be present to address the audience and share exclusive insights about their film.

Live performances by Bandscape, DJ Robin, and Joy Star Band will keep the energy high throughout the day. Competitive events like tug of war, women’s throwball, and men’s volleyball with exciting prizes for the winners will add to the excitement. For children, a baby walk show (ages 2–4) and a drawing competition will provide engaging activities. Food counters offering regional favourites, including traditional kuswar, along with snacks and meals, will satisfy every palate. Shopping and fun activities like dress stalls, Christmas accessories, mehendi, face painting and tattoo counters, and art exhibits will enhance the festive atmosphere. Baila dancing and cultural showcases will fill the air with joy.

Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in masked, fancy, and colourful themes to match the carnival's vibrant spirit. However, the dress code is not compulsory, making the event accessible and welcoming for everyone.

More than a celebration, the Kudla Carnival is a platform for change, aiming to bring people together to support community initiatives and contribute to meaningful social causes.
