Udupi, Dec 11: The Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) ambitious Gaganyaan programme, designed to send humans to space and bring them back safely to Earth, now has a unique representation in Manipal. A 1:10 scale model of the Human-rated LVM3 (HLVM3) rocket an upgraded version of ISRO’s LVM3 has been installed outside the Manipal Centre of Natural Sciences (MCNS), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal.
This exhibit, designed and produced by Indic Inspirations, Pune, is the only public display of the HLVM3 rocket model in this region. It was officially inaugurated on December 10 by MAHE’s vice chancellor, Lt gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh, and pro vice chancellor, Dr Narayana Sabhahit.

The HLVM3 rocket model enhances the experience of visitors to the Dr TMA Pai Planetarium at MAHE. The planetarium shows and the new space science exhibits are open to all, sparking curiosity and fostering interest in space exploration and technology.
