Kundapur: Drowsy driver causes truck to overturn, no injuries reported

Kundapur, Dec 10: A truck overturned after hitting a road divider when the driver reportedly felt drowsy near the Shana Convention Centre in Hangaluru on NH 66 during the early hours of Tuesday, December 10. Fortunately, no injuries or additional damage were reported as no other vehicles were present on the road at the time.

The truck was transporting Manpol Polypropylene plastic raw material worth lacs of rupees from Kuttettur, Katipalla in Mangaluru, belonging to a private industry, to Maharashtra.

Locals and police arrived at the scene, lifted the overturned truck, and ensured the smooth flow of traffic. A case has been registered at the Kundapur police station regarding the incident.

    Thank God no injuries or deaths. Who knows how long he drove? People drive continuously for long time to reach early. That's wrong. One should have stop overs for safety.
