Sullia: Forest guard on duty collapses, passes away

Sullia, Dec 9: A forest viewer on duty at the Jalsoor forest check post in the taluk tragically passed away after collapsing on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Koodumajalu Mudiyaru Sadashiva Gowda (58), a resident of Delampady village. He is survived by his wife and son.

Sadashiva was on night duty at the forest check post in Jalsoor when the incident occurred. Towards the end of his shift in the morning, he suddenly collapsed. He was immediately rushed to the government hospital in Sullia and later shifted to a private hospital. Subsequently, he was referred to a private hospital in Mangaluru but, unfortunately, he passed away on the way.

Sadashiva had been serving as a forest viewer at Jalsoor for the past seven years and was set to retire next year.
