Udupi, Dec 19: The long-cherished dream of the district, which was carved out of the then Dakshina Kannada district in August 1997, to have its own district complex, will be realized on December 25.

The complex, built in a spacious 12-acre plot in Manipal, will have office of the deputy commissioner, zilla panchayat, a spacious hall, and all offices coming under the district administration.
