Bhatkal, Dec 4: Labbaik Nawayath district level Kabaddi Tournament was inaugurated here on Friday December 2.
Senior teacher of Islamia Anglo Urdu High School and chief guest Nizam Mummugatti in his address wished all the players the best and advised them to follow rules while playing.
PSI Suresh Naik and PSI Parkash, Ismail Damudi, Najeeb, Shahbandari, Sajjad Kola, and convener of the tournament Abdul Rawoof Naity among others were present.
Four teams including Cosmos, YMSA, Parshuram, Kattavera won the taluk level matches and were qualified for the district level competitions from a total 10 teams participated.
A special programme was held during the Day 2 of the tourney, where in Bhatkal tahalsidar Madhav Shekar addressed the gathering and congratulated Labbaik Nawayath saying it is a wonderful effort to nurture talent. He also wished Labbaik Nawaith to hold national level competitions in future.
Maulana Ansar in his address spoke about communal harmony.
Atiqurrahman compered the occasion where in Inayatullah Shahbandari, Najeeb Shahbandari, Maulana Afzal, Maulana Aziz-ur-Rahman among others participated in the special programme.
A huge crowd of around 5000 spectators hailed the second day of the tourney.
