Bhatkal, Nov 30: Labbaik Nawayath association will organize district level kabaddi tournament on December 2, 3 and 4 at Anjuman High School Ground here.
The day-night match will have preliminary taluk-level matches and winning teams will clash in the district level semi finals, which will have a total of 10 teams.
League matches will be played among the four winning teams.
The taluk level matches will be played among teams - Honnawar, Kumta, Haliyal, Murgod, Ankola, and Labbaik Nawayath, and other taluk level teams.
Special umpires are invited from Mangalore for the first time. Rules laid down by the Kabaddi Federation of Karnataka will be followed for the tourney. Matches will commence at 5.00 pm and will continue till 12.00 am as per the Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation of Karnataka rules. Small breaks will be given for prayers.
The winning teams will be given cash prizes of Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 7000 for the first second and third place winning teams respectively.
Best all rounder will get Rs 1500, whereas best rider and catcher will be given a prize of Rs 1000.
