Mangaluru: Yenepoya Institute hosts day-long workshop on finance & investment

Mangaluru, Sep 29: The Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management, Kulur, in collaboration with the Investor Club and YENFAS Club, organized a day-long workshop focused on practical insights into finance and investment.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Colin Janet, assistant coordinator of the YENFAS Club. Anushree, coordinator of the Investor Club, expressed gratitude to key institutional leaders, including principal and dean of the faculty of science Dr Arun A Bhagwath, vice principal and dean of the faculty of commerce and management Dr Shareena P, and vice principal Dr Jeevan Raj.

The keynote address was delivered by Leo Amal, senior branch manager at Franklin Templeton India Pvt Ltd, who shared valuable insights on cash savings and investing in stocks and bonds. He discussed the risks involved in various investment options, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and investment strategies.

Razeena, coordinator of the YENFAS Club, announced the names of YENFAS and Investor Club members who conducted an awareness session on the Public Provident Fund. Dr Arun A Bhagwath, along with resource person Leo Amal, presented certificates to these members for their contributions.

The event’s success was attributed to the efforts of convenor Cassin Rodrigues, who played a key role in its organization.

The workshop proved to be an enriching experience, providing participants with essential knowledge in finance and investment while fostering a collaborative learning environment.
