Kasargod, Sep 28: Udaya Higher Secondary School, conducted an insightful seminar on the crucial topic of mental health and wellness for high school students on September 27. The session, led by Fr Victor D’Souza, assistant director of Counselling Centre, Shanthi Kiran, Mangaluru. Aimed to raise awareness about the importance of 'Samong adolescents.
The event commenced with a formal programme, graced by the presence of Jerald Ivan Crasta, the esteemed principal of Udaya Higher Secondary School, and Fr Santhosh D’Souza, the campus director. The seminar began with a warm welcome by Mohammed Sabith of standard 8, followed by an introduction of the resource person by Akshata Rai.
Fr Victor D'Souza delivered an engaging and thought-provoking address, shedding light on the various aspects of mental health and the steps students can take to maintain their emotional and psychological well-being during their formative years.
Ayesha Muneer of standard 9 skilfully managed the proceedings as the master of ceremony, ensuring the smooth flow of the event. The seminar concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ayesha of standard 10, expressing gratitude to the resource person, the school administration, and all participants.
The seminar was highly appreciated by both students and faculty, marking an important step in fostering mental health awareness within the school community.
