Kundapura, Sep 24: An induction program for first year BE students was recently inaugurated at MIT Kundapur college.
Chief guest of the programme, Suyog Shetty, co-founder and CEO, Niveus Solutions Pvt Ltd, in his inaugural speech said, “There should be curiosity in students while studying engineering which will definitely help them to solve bigger problems of the society."
He also advised students to concentrate on innovation and also on entrepreneurship. Guest of honour, Santosh Sirian, managing partner of Aspire Automation, addressed the students and informed them about the importance of discipline, hard work, innovation and communication.
Brand building director of the college, Dr Ramakrishna Hegde while addressing the parents told to help in maintaining the regularity of the students to the classes.
Vice principal Prof Melvin D'Souza said that students should prepare for placement from the first year itself. At the end of the programme, the principal of the college, Dr Abdul Kareem, who delivered the presidential address, congratulated and thanked the students and the parents for choosing MITK. Placement dean, professor amritamala, all the HODs, teaching and non-teaching staff and parents were present in the program.
Professors Srinidhi and Farana introduced the guests. Students Vaishnavi and Ruchita did the invocation. Meghna welcomed the gathering, Vineeta proposed vote of thanks. Fatima compered the programme.
