Bantwal, Sep 5: Sevaanjali Trust's initiative of distributing monthly food kits to tuberculosis patients is commendable, said Bantwal rural police sub-inspector Murthy.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the food grain kit distribution program for tuberculosis patients, organized by Sevaanjali Trust, Farangipet, under the central government's Nikshay Mitra scheme, as part of the campaign to build a TB-free India. He emphasized the importance of tuberculosis awareness and how Sevaanjali has joined hands with the central government to work towards the eradication of the disease. He urged tuberculosis patients to take full advantage of the initiative.
Addressing the gathering, Thumbe's Yadav Suvarna remarked that, along with medication and food, a loving environment is essential for patients to recover quickly, and Sevaanjali Trust is providing such a service.
Former Pudu gram panchayat president Ramlan Maripalla and ASI Nagaraj R were also present on the dais. Krishna Kumar Poonja, the administrative trustee of Sevaanjali Trust, welcomed the gathering and explained the purpose of the scheme.
Notable attendees included Krishna Tuppekallu, Narayana Badduru, Keshava Dota, Vikram Barke, Prashant Thumbe, Padmanabha Kidebettu, and Madhuraj Shetty.
