Beltangady: Sacred Heart College shines at International Throwball Championship in Nepal

Beltangady, Sep 4: Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar, is elated to announce that six of its student three men and three women have brought immense pride to the institution by representing India at the prestigious International Throwball Championship held in Pokhara, Nepal. Both the men’s and women’s teams emerged victorious, clinching the championship titles in their respective categories.

Yunith K, a student of Sacred Heart College, was named the best player of the tournament in the men's category, while in the women's category, Dafny Veronica Misquith won the best player of the tournament, and Supriya S P was honoured as the best player of the final match. Notably, Yunith captained the men’s team, and Supriya captained the women’s team, showcasing exceptional leadership skills.

The students from Sacred Heart College who represented the Indian throwball team are:

Prof Alex Ivan Sequeira, principal of Sacred Heart College, extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the students for their outstanding achievement on the international stage. He also expressed his gratitude to Dr Prakash D’Souza, the physical education director, for his dedication in preparing and training these students, which has undoubtedly contributed to this remarkable success.
