Mumbai, Nov 15: Ryan International Group of Education Institutions organized ‘Children’s Day’ celebrations at Evershine Nagar, Malad (West), on Monday November 14.
‘Mr World’ Raymond D’Souza, addressing the students, said that it’s essential to have a healthy body for longer life. “Apart from academic achievements, sports, games, and physical exercise play a vital role in shaping a healthy life. In today’s fast life with hectic schedules, a healthy mind requires a healthy body. The number of children suffering from obesity and other illnesses is increasing due to an unhealthy lifestyle which includes junk food and drugs. It is time to be aware and to say no to such bad lifestyle choices,” he said.
D’Souza stressed that one should live and eat food in a natural way for a stronger and perfect human body. Therefore, he strongly recommended sports and games along with regular studies.
He explained that his long years of practice, with total dedication and focus, earned him the title of ‘Mr World’ in 1992. He appealed to the students to follow a diet, shun drugs, to put in hard work and dedication, and to develop killer instinct to win in any sport.
Ryan International Group managing director Grace Pinto said that children are the purest manifestation of God’s love. “It is the responsibility of parents and teachers to provide them with an environment to live their life to its fullest. However, it’s all how one looks at childhood that plays the greatest part in nurturing the young exuberant, precious gifts of God,” she added.
Raymond D’Souza presented his show on the occasion. The students of Ryan Schools performed various Indian traditional dances. Grace Pinto welcomed the gathering.
