I was associated with his Excellency Shri M Y Ghorpade's and his company (SMIORE)for 12 long years. He was a people friendly and down to earth person. A Royal by birth ,but spent his life working for the people of Sandur and surrounding areas. A businessman who looked after his employees and passed on the benefits to them. His subsidized food grain scheme for the employees ,had nothing comparable in whole of India.

He was a renowned photographer and was a prolific writer. A politician who stood by Gandhian principles and voluntarily quit politics at ripe of his age.

It is difficult to find few such persons committed to their work and well being of the society

I pray god may His Soul Rest In Peace
