Mangalore, Oct 30, DHNS: The Congress leader and former MP B Janardhan Poojary has questioned as to what credibility former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani has to take out ‘Janachethana Yathra.’

Addressing a press meet here on Saturday, he said “you are in a glass house. Before pelting stones at others, there is a need to introspect.” There was corruption charges against Jaya Jaitely, when NDA was in power. However, no action was initiated. In fact, FIR and chargesheet was filed against Advani when he was the Home Minister in connection with the demolition of Babri Masjid. However, he did not tender resignation to the post he was holding. Sangha Parivar members were involved in internal terrorism in the country. But the BJP has not initiated any action against them so far,” he added.

“In Mangalore, Christians and churches were attacked. The Somasekhara Commission report was prepared according to the wishes of the Government.

If you have morality, then direct the State Government to reject Somasekhara Commission report and initiate action against the culprits. Then people of Mangalore will respect you and believe in your action,” he said.

The State government is filled with corruption. Former Chief Minister and other ministers have landed in jail on various charges. Charges have been filed against the present ministers including Home Minister Ashoka. If you have courage, then ask Minister Ashoka to tender resignation. You should become model for others by your action,” Poojary said.

“The BJP had stated that Mauratius is the route for black money. Then why did Yeddyurappa and Reddy family visited Mauratius just before the submission of Lokayukta report on illegal mining in the State? he asked and added:  “If the BJP is clean, then it should raise the issue in the Parliament and demand for CBI probe into Yeddyurappa’s visit to Mauratius.”

“Inspite of Supreme Court asking to penalise those who were involved in causing loss to state exchequer by involving in illegal mining, the State government has not initiated action against the culprits so far. The State governmnt should accept Lokayuta report on illegal mining and initiate action. If you have courage, then expel Yeddyurappa from the BJP and ask for dissolution of the State government,” he added.
