Kundapur, Jun 21: The Kundapur Mandal BJP organized a protest on Friday, June 21 evening near Shastri Circle, condemning the state government's increase in fuel prices.
The protesters demonstrated their discontent by pulling a goods rickshaw with ropes to symbolize the burden of the petrol and diesel price hike. Speaking on the occasion, Udupi District BJP president B Kishore Kumar criticized the state government's anti-people policy of increasing fuel prices. He stated that the government, which came to power promising guarantees, is now imposing the burden of price hikes on the people.
Kundapur MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi, Uday Kumar Shetty, Kundapur Mandal president Suresh Shetty, former president Shankar Ankadakatte, Kaduru Suresh Shetty, Prithviraj Shetty, Mohandas Shenai, Prabhakar, Santosh Kumar Shetty, Rajesh Kaveri, Vijay Poojari, and several key figures from various fronts were present at the protest.
