Mumbai, Apr 9: At the young age of 13, Tilak Mehta achieved a remarkable feat by establishing a company.
It all began with a visit to his uncle's house, where Tilak inadvertently left behind his books. With exams looming, he urgently needed them. Despite inquiries with various agencies for same-day delivery, some offered excessively high prices while others could not meet the 24-hour deadline. This experience sparked the idea to create a same-day delivery service.
Tilak founded ‘Paper n Parcels’, a company specializing in same-day deliveries within city limits. To ensure cost-effectiveness, he enlisted the help of Mumbai's dabbawalas, who could execute deliveries at a lower cost.
Taking his venture online in 2018, Tilak's net worth has now reached Rs 100 crore. He has directly employed 200 people and provided additional income to 300 dabbawalas indirectly. With over 1200 deliveries completed daily, his monthly income stands at a staggering Rs two crore.
Tilak Mehta's story illustrates that with innovative ideas, determination, and proper planning, success is attainable.
