Mangaluru, Mar 26: Moody’s project manager, Akilesh B C, inaugurated the two-day management and cultural fest 'Zephyr 2024' at St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) on Tuesday, March 26. The event was organized by the department of business administration.
Addressing the gathering, Akilesh said, “When I entered the college and saw the faces, I could sense hope and confidence brimming among the students, reminiscent of my own college days at St Joseph Engineering College. You need to develop leadership qualities and the courage to make tough decisions, skills which you should cultivate early on in your college life. Showcase your skills, build networks, and create platforms that will aid in your career growth. Success is not merely a destination but rather a continuous journey, albeit a challenging one. Maintain a positive attitude that attracts people towards you. Once you graduate, there will be numerous options available, but it is essential to follow your passion, take calculated risks, as without risk, there can be no reward.”
Principal Dr Rio D Souza said, “Today’s theme signifies success, rising from all the difficulties and come up in life. Every year I could see same spirit in Zephyr.”
Director SJEC Fr Wilfred Prakash D Souza also spoke on the occasion.
Assistant director Fr Kenneth Rayner Crasta, dean MBA Dr Prakash Pinto, faculty coordinator Zephyr Acharya Chitraleka J, and student convenor Hrithik Chand were also present.
Student convenor Prajwal SK welcomed the gathering, Sweeny Reanna Lasrado proposed vote of thanks and Komal compered the event.
