Udupi: Science Day celebrated at Trinity Central School, Perampally

Udupi. Mar 1: The Science Day was celebrated at Trinity Central School on February 28 to commemorate ‘National Science Day’.

The eventful celebrations began with a prayer song. As a part of inauguration the principal, vice principal and the coordinator mixed glycerine to a pile of potassium permanganate which resulted in a white smoke and a purple flame brightening the campus, thus giving a fitting beginning to the events that followed.















Adithi of grade 7 and Krithi of grade 8 presented an interesting line – up of whats, whys and what ifs, science facts. It was followed by an extraordinary chemical reactions with the usage of multitude chemicals, performed by the students of grade 9 supervised by Ranjith, Chemistry faculty.

In his message to all, principal Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo expressed his joy, pride and immense gratitude to all the students and science teachers for their dedicated efforts in making this day a memorable and wonderful one. He expressed that science, need not be boring, for it is a bubbling pot of creativity and innovation.

As a conclusion few general knowledge questions pertaining to science were set up and asked for all the grades by the students of grade 9.

The programme came to a close after the vote of thanks and singing of the school and state anthem.
